Kelly, Marianne and Monty come to NYC

It was action-packed.

Thur Jun 20 -- Kelly and Marianne come by to see my APT once they get into town.

 

Thur evening we take the subway to Yankee Stadium and watch the  Tampa Bay Devil Rays beat the Yankees.  Kelly and Marianne clad in Ray gear .. eek. 

 

 

 

 

Fri Jun 21 --  I worked in the morning and they we all went to Central Park for afternoon, doing different things.  We met back up for dinner and dance at Swing 46.  Kelly and Marianne have been taking Swing lessons and getting really good at it.  The evening started with a dance lesson, and then dancing into evening.  Monty told me stop getting so hung up on the beat and just go with it ..LOL. 

 

 

Sat Jun 22 -- The big event!  Michelle's daughter (see Piano Bar post), Milly is starring in Matilda, as Matilda!  We all went to see her in the Saturday matinee performance.  WOW.  Monty and I were blown away -- she was phenomenal. It was so much to take in.  I hope to see it a couple more times but won't be easy as it is always sold out.

Milly is closest in this picture, her friend to her right, Abigail next (Abigail is Milly's sister and recently starred in The Grinch that Stole Christmas as Cindy Lou), next is Marianne, Kelly, Monty, me, Michelle and two of Michelle's friends.

Saturday evening Kelly, Marianne, Monty and I went to Cafa Wha?  The show gets started at 9:30, so naturally Monty and were concerned about our staying power since we didn't have a nap.  It is in Greenwich Village -- classic NYC neighborhood and street that appear to stay hopping long into the night.  The club was almost in a basement, or seemed it.  Monty kept looking for the exit route, just in case.  The cover on Saturday nights is $15 but I'm sure they make the money on drinks .. and they go until 4AM (even though we didn't)  Anyway, it was SO MUCH FUN!  We loved it .. fantastic show with all our favorite music .. completely unexpected.

 

The last one.  This picture makes me laugh.  My phone camera sucks anyway, and it doesn't have the feature that let's see yourself to take a picture, so we were guessing if we were in the shot!
